Hi everyone, I hope you're week is going great. I read Mark 8 today, and verse 18 really stuck out for me. It says, "Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear? And don't you remember?" The beginning of this chapter is about the story with which we are all familiar with- the one about Jesus feeding four thousand people. Then, the middle of the chapter is about the disciples who need more bread to feed themselves and Jesus after having witnessed Jesus' feeding the four thousand. With one loaf, the disciples are so worried that they will not be satisfied, and the disciples end up complaining to Jesus.
Basically this verse taught me to focus on the bright side of things and have hope and confidence in God, rather than seeing all the things that I lack and need thus feeling unsatisfied.
