Got Fruit?

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. —Galatians 5:22-23

    Hello everyone jocolor
    hope the week's been good!

    today i read Galations 5:22-23
it's about the fruit of the Spirit.(Which, as you all know, is the theme of VBS this year)
Billy Graham says that we need to allow the Holy spirit to produce His fruit in our lives. because we can't produce them ourselves, the Holy Spirit will produce them when he dwells in us and has control over our lives. so our duty is to prepare our hearts so that He may dwell in us. I thought about some things that keeps the Holy Spirit from producing the fruit in my life. i think the biggest thing that kept Him away was that I put other things before God. After reading this, i realized that instead of always making excuses for myself, i need to spend more time with God, and prepare my heart so that the Holy Spirit can produce the fruit of the Spirit in my life.

Hi, sorry for posting this so late. Today, during devo time during practice, I learned about seeking God rather than seeking the feeling of being spiritually high. I wanted to see if there was a way to relate this to missions, and I realized that, although missions and a retreat are different, we need to desperately seek for God's presence at the reserve, even when we are not up there. I'm sure that there will be times when we feel spiritually high because we will witness God working in the natives already, but that "high", I feel, is very impermanent. When we make it our prayer to have God at the reserve and make that the priority, then I think that God will pour His blessings on all of the natives and us, and the spiritual high will come naturally.

    Revelations 21 verse 23
And the city has no need of the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the the Lamb.

What I got out of this verse:
During dark times, like the one im in right now, when there is no moon or sun to light up your room, just know Jesus is always there for you
no matter how guilty you feel. He knows that you are in a time where there seems to be no light....just uncertainty surrounding you on all sides
some times i wonder what could Jesus possibly do for me right now that would take me out of this dark hole? would he create a miracle and just
turn on the light switch? nopppe because thats not why hes here. He's here because he knows we are able to be our own miracles. All we need is
a push in the right direction or simply put, his illuminating guidance to light the way. Seek guidance, seek strength in him, be your own miracle.
Heem neh, cham muh, annd all those other korean words that perfectly describe things in ways tht the english language cannot.
