Hey team! Today is Canada Day! hahaha bom
Today i read Colossians 3:23 "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,"
This verse is very lifting because everyone had one of those times when you work so hard and then the person your doing the favor for doesn't even say thanks in return. But if you think with a set mind that you are doing this work to glorify God, and getting thanks from a person is just a bonus, the work gets so much easier and you automatically feel good no matter what when you're done the work. Also it will help you think of God in everything you do and thus become a better person!
Have a great Canada Day! flower

    heey team !
sorry for not posting for the past couple of days
ive been keeping up with my devos but my internets been really messed up lately
and i thought i posted one yesterday, but apperently something went wrong and i lost the whole thing ...

so i hope everyones canada day was fun Smile
i just came back from Niagara...... so tired

today i read proverbs chapter 3 and verse 6 really stood out to me

6 in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.

i was discussing this one with my fam .
what i got out of it was: no matter what we do in our lives, whether it is career, school decisions whatever... we do it all for the glory of God.

my mom told me that she thought that it was , whatever we do, we pray to God about it , we ask Him questions, and have Him guide us, becuase He has a plan for us, and He will lead us to the best direction possible for our lives.

i thought it over........... and it was so right. We need to be desperate for God, and put our all into Him. We need to make all of our decisions together with God and go where He wants us to go. We need to seek God for answers and direction.

Its something im really working on right now. Going to God for EVERYTHING , whether it is a big or little part of my life.

    good night everyone ^^

hi everyone, so today i read matthew chapter 19.

v17. "Why do you ask me about that is good? Jesus replied, There is only one who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.

As a read through this passage, it reminds me of keeping your promises. So also meaning to follow and obey the Lords Commandments. Not just the ten commandments but what ever the Lord tells you. And in verse 18 and 19 kind of demonstrates of the Lords commandments. All of these commandments that the Lord has give us is all very important. But when the Lord mentioned the word Love, i think Love is the most important. Love is the key to everything. If you have Love, that is the key to go up to the kingdom of heaven. It says that we should Love the one and only God. If we do not Love him, than we cannot go into heaven. Love is to everything you desire. The Lord says to love not just him, but also one another. He says this because the Lord has loved us first, so to give thanks, we must also love him and also love one another. So lets love God, but also love one another.

v21. If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come follow me.

I also found this passage heart full of love. Reading through this verse reminded me of Jesus Christ dying on the cross for our sins. He did this to poor out his love to the people all around the world. Jesus sacrficed everything just for us, and we should do the same, but differently. The question is, are you willing to poor out all your possessions to the poor and the week. I think we all are. Like look where God has put every single one of us here today. The Lord has given us this great oppertunity to go on missions. To spread the word of the gospel, to heal the sick and to brings glory in them. So be proud of your self. God has sent you here for a reason, and you are not here by mistake. Every time pastor sam would pray, he would always say "we are here for a reason, that god has not created us by mistake". And that is so true. Rememeber your there for a reason.

    AMEN.................................................

    hi everyone jocolor
    i hear fireworks

    today i read philippians 4

the first section of this chapter was perfect for our team. paul says a lot of intelligent things.

first, we are told to always rejoice in the Lord. i think this is something we forget to do. we go through lots of hardships and experience difficult situations, and of course its very hard to find joy in those times. however we must look for the positive in all situations and see what God's purpose is for us through these hard times. then perhaps it will be easier to rejoice. but also, paul doesnt simply tell us to rejoice but to rejoice in the Lord. that makes all the difference.

then he tells us to pray about everything. even the pettiest things, if we seek God for help, we will be given what we need. but we must also do so with thanks. i think we often forget to thank God for all he does for us. but really we should thank him for our very existence. if we pray to God, the peace of God will guard our hearts and minds in Jesus.

then lastly paul tells us to put everything we have learned from him to put into practice then God will be with us. i thought about this a lot and i realized we learn a lot from God and all those around us- that God loves us and we should love others and we should worship God. But what does it matter if we dont practice what we learn? What good is it to know all these things but never show others the love that God shows us? so ya. lets put all the things we learned to practice by loving others and bringing glory to God's name.

verse 13. "I can do everything through him who gives me strength."

    tomorrow....
    i better do something fun
    UGH
    so bored
are you guys all coming to the retreat??

    Hebrews 13:

Oh the ECA stack is having a toll on meh, but I lost 4 pounds so I'm happy.

There are a couple of things I found interesting with this chapter and I think you guys will enjoy reading it.

    Verse 5

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

If you truly think about it, money is really worth nothing. It was simply used as a reciept? that represented how much gold the goldsmith was holding on for you. More people started using these receipts? as forms of currency rather than gold itself, and that's where it's value kicked it.

Even though forms of money have changed over thousands of years, our love for it hasn't. It's still the same obsession where we are trying to get more money, through works/ luck / whatever you want. It stuck out to me personally because money has such a huge role in my life, and I let it get in the way sometimes with what God wants me to do. (but it seems so difficult, no?, when God wants you to do something but no money) And thats where faith kicks in.

    Verse 6
So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"

    But THEN

Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by ceremonial foods, which are of no value to those who eat them.

Man can still do ALOT and is not > than God. When a man is good with his words, He can almost do anything. Ex. Dictators that took over long time ago, they simply climbed to the top through promises, and being really good with their words. Ex. Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini.

Alot of leaders are very good with their words and are able to sway LARGE crowds into doing what they want.

And thats where the 2nd part of the verse kicks in, our hearts must be strengthed by grace, because then the ways of Man become very easy and more pleasing.

    starting to babble ....

Going to sleep..I hope...stupid pills keeping me up
