    Hi team! Surprised
sorry for not posting my devotions the last 2 times! Embarassed haha
yayy!! its starting to feel like summer Very Happy

so today i read James 4:1-3
"What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures."

This passage shows me how we can misinterpret what the Bible says about praying - that God will always answer-into God will give me anything i want if i just ask him in my prayer.Just because you ask in your prayers doesn't mean that God will give it to you, he will still answer, but only when you have the right motives, will he give it to you.

Now I know this, I remember a time where I prayed to God that for my birthday I could have a bike just for the sake of having a bike, and right after that i imagined me riding the bike all over the neighborhood, friends coming over to look at it's pink awesomeness Razz and just me showing off, even to my older brother.haha But now i realize that because i didn't have the right motives, I didn't get the bike that year's birthday. But eventually when I just wanted a bike for fun reasons and not to make people jealous of me, i got one!

I know its not a very good example but it's a real memory for me and it shows me that i was and still am naive, but i realize from reading the Bible, you learn so much and become more wise.I didn't realize the importance of reading the Bible for your relationship until i started reading the Bible and actually trying to learn from it, instead of memorizeing verses to win prizes at sunday school. haha

I got these verses from daily bible verses on facebook rabbit hahaha it makes choosing devotion verses SO MUCH easier . flower

hope you guys have a wonderful week!
i really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really REALLY love the summer. sunny

Hi everyone, sry for not posting yesturday... pale
So today i read Hebrews 11. I really like this chapter, because it talks about faith, and faith is what we hope for and certain of what we do no see. I believe that this passage is a message from God. This whole chapter talks about faith, about Abraham, noah, enoch, moses, joseph, etc. To me i think this chapter is like a flash back bible. The types of faith these people discover about them self.

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for a certain of what we do no see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

In this passage, i believe God is telling us that our commandments is also to have faith. Why do you think God is telling us to have faith? Having faith will bring trust in God. But when you have faith in God you must also have faith in others. It doesnt exactly say in the bible about that but, it talks about it. In order for us to have faith in God, we must also have faith with your neighbours. If we say we cannot have faith in someone who we can see, and say we have faith in God who we cannot see, we are liars. God also says to have faith one another, not just me.

Faith is so powerful in the chirstian life, and also in are own life. Faith is all around the world, another meaning of trust. We must trust in God if we want to go to the kingdom of heaven. When you have faith, you must also believe. We all believe that God is the creater of heaven and earth right. And people may say, how do we know that for sure? I think it is ok to ask those kind of questions because thats when the bible will provide the answer. The bible has all the solutions. The bible is so clear that its impossible for no understand it. EVertime you would read the bible, it can be a different meaning to it. All we just need to do when we read is to believe it. If you can believe in the bible and understand the comcept of faith. The Lord has shown you faith.

    AMEN.................

Have a good dayh everyone, and continue praying hard.....

OH MY GOSHHHHH, i think today as two times hotter than yesterdayy . Exclamation
so today i was at the beach with a bunch of friends and i feel all gross cause i have sand all over me right now. Rolling Eyes
and hahaa im tanned........................... i hate sun screen . im surprised im not burned .

okaaay so today im doing my devo on another spiritual discipline.
    this one is SERVING .

serving, is like a gift itself, people usually refer it to the gift of mercy/serving haha pretty straight forward.
this is a gift that God has given me, and it is something i try to practice and excersize as much as i can everyday. It is a very special one, and a very difficult one to have. Showing mercy, and serving others takes a lot out of you. Emotionally and physically. Its a gift where you need to always remind yourself to be humble and self-sacrificing.Its one where you need to keep refilling so that you dont get drained.

To serve... hmmm.... it is us giving our all to others, and putting ourselves last. We become the servants just like Jesus when he came to earth. He did not come to recieve, but to serve. He put himself last and helped others out and showed them how great God's love is.

When we serve, love is an important key.

    Today i read 1 Corinthians chapter 13.
verses 1-8 really stood out to me

1If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing.
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

In these verses, it repeats OVER AND OVER AGAIN
if we do not have love, it means nothing when we serve
we can give more than anyone else and serve at 100%, but whats the point if we do not have love?
God has one promise in this bible that will never fail.
He gave us His love. He states in verse 8... LOVE NEVER FAILS! tongues will be silenced, knowledge will pass away... but love never fades away.
He gives us His never ending love.
Jesus served us when he was on earth BECAUSE he loved us .
in the bible, it says to love everyone .
and we should serve, BECAUSE we love .

its like it says in Remain by starfield .

    "Defender of this heart
You loved me from the start
    You never change
    Through the highs and lows
    As seasons come and go
    You never fail
    Day after day
    Your love will remain
    Faithful and true"

i love you teammm Smile I love you
    good nightt ^^

    TODAY WAS SO HOT.
"From now on I will tell you of new things,
of hidden things unknown to you.

God always has plans for us, he had plans for us before we were even born. We are called to serve for God it's our choice to accept it or not.
In our hands our future is already decided...scary isn't it? God knows where we'll end up, what we'll end up doing and etc. Still, God will provide joyous things and amazing things in our life! Look to God and be blessed! Also give all your content to God, he deserves it.

    yes, I have called him.
    I will bring him,
and he will succeed in his mission.

This is really encouraging. God has called us, and he's telling us that we WILL succeed in glorifying God. Let's continue to pray and have a heart for it!

    2 Timothy 2

This chapter talks about some difficult times that one can go through. Paul gives analogies in the point of view of a soldier, athlete, and a farmer, when they go through hardships.

A soldier doesn't get involved with civilian affairs. Meaning, they only focus on their duties and remember that their goals are much beyond what civilians can understand. An athlete, no matter how hard s/he works and wins that gold medal, s/he only gets that medal if all the rules are followed. And a hardworking farmer always gets the first share of the crops that he works so hard for.

What Paul is saying here is that if you follow God and his ways fair and square, you'll always be a winner and God will always reward you. He also emphasizes the fact that it's going to be hard along the way. You will face trials and things may try to stop you from achieving the best that you can. Everyone goes through trials in their lives and I believe that the more you overcome, the more blessed and joyful God will make your life after it. I think a lot of people give up somewhere along the middle, which is unfortunate, but it's comforting knowing that God is still always with us. Endure through it all. Sometimes it feels like you're too young to deserve such hard trials and that it seems almost inappropriate for you. But there is a reason behind everything.

In the song "Through It All", it goes:

You are forever in my life.
You see me through the seasons.
    Cover me with your hand.
And lead me in your righteousness.

I'll sing to you Lord, a hymn of love.
    For your faithfulness to me.
    I'm covered in everlasting arms.
You'll never let me go, through it all.

    ________________________

The next part of this chapter is something to read and feel blessed about:

    "Here is a trustworthy saying:
    If we died with him,
    we will also live with him;
    If we endure,
we will also reign with him.
    If we disown him,
    he will also disown us;
    If we are faithless,
    he will remain faithful,
    for he cannot disown himself."

    hey guyssss
yesterday was really hot!! and i heard today is going to be even hotter Shocked

anywaysssss it's past twelve but i've just started my devo and i feel that i shouldnt start a new post since this one is kinda for yesterday.

    so today i read 2 corinthians 12:9
"my grace is sufficient for you"
in this passage, Paul asks God to remove the thorn from his flesh. but instead of removing the pain, God tells him that His grace is sufficient. this verse really got me thinking. at first when i read the verse, i couldn't completely understand it. if God didn't take the pain away from Paul, how is that sufficient? but as i continued reading, i realized that God was with Paul, helping him to endure the pain. He is always with us, even in the midst of pain. and although He may not make our problems go away, he gives us the power to deal with them and overcome them by His grace. Whatever grace He provides, it really is sufficient for us, whether or not we may realize it at the time.
this verse really made me think because it's really relevant in my present situation. i'm faced with problems that i don't know how to deal with, and i want it all to go away. but i know that He provides grace that's sufficient for me, and i know that He will help me to overcome this obstacle in my life. it definitely give me strength knowing that He is with me right now, and that He will always stay by my side through it all.

What I got from Isaiah 48 is that peace can only come from following God and His plan. In the beginning of this chapter, it's clear that everything that God once said would happen did become true, and people like us were so wrong about not taking God's advice in order to live their own lives. Even though we know that God is always right and sees everything in the future, I think it's only natural for us to, most of the time, take control over our lives and assure ourselves that what we know is best. In fact, sometimes, it's hard to define what God wants for us, and that is probably why we make ourselves believe that what we want is what God wants.

I've always struggled with how people "hear" God or "know" His plans for them because I don't know if He literally speaks to them or gives them a clear sign. And I think it will be only through prayer and growing faith and trust in God that will help me to know what exactly God wants for me.

    hi everyone Laughing
i must say home sweet home
    and today was crazy hot
and for some odd reason, i decided to wear sweatpants and an american apparel tshirt
why did i do that? it still boggles my mind
    i almost died pretty much
    anywayssss

    today i read ephesians 5: 1-21
the section after that is the passage with wives and husbands

i didnt realize this but the section i read was a continuation from the one before, which was about living as children of light. paul continues to lay out rules that we need to follow about being holy and staying away from sin and darkness.
a few things popped out at me and ya.. i want to share those with you all.

the first thing paul says here is
"be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God."
we all know already that we need to live a life of love. and imitate God in all that we do. and in doing so remember that we do this just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us. this is a pretty simple concept that we are all familiar with- its pretty much sunday school material. but this got me thinking and i came up with this. Jesus died for us- not because we deserved his grace and love but because he simply loved. and perhaps we have people like this in our lives- those who seem like they dont deserve your patience and love. but Christ did the same thing for us, actually he went to the extreme and died for us. we dont have to die for these people but perhaps we can show them love by spending some times with them or listening to their stories etc. then i thought about this more and i thought, not only do we show love to people who make it very hard to love, but perhaps to everyone in the world. even though we dont know them, we should love them. we shouldnt love people because theyre so lovable and they deserve it, but becuase we simply love. did i just ramble on there?..hmmm hopefully you guys understand what im trying to say...

at the end of this chapter, which is also the end of this section, paul says this:
"speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."
here paul mentions three ideas: encouragement, worship, and thanksgiving.
we all know the importance of encouragement. we must, especially as a team, build each other up and help each other use the gifts that we have to the best of our abilities. and as brothers and sisters in Christ, we should want to treat each other with love and continue to encourage one another during the good and the bad. we must love each other first before we can love others (ie. natives.) then for worship paul tells us to sing and make music in your heart to the Lord. here paul tells us that we must worship God in our hearts. of course we can praise him out loud, but make sure those praises are not empty praises. we must put our hearts and souls when worshipping. i think also paul is saying that worshiping the Lord in our hearts also means living a life of worship- that in whatever we do, we do it for the glory of God and continue to worship him through our actions, speeches, thoughts etc. and lastly we are told to thank God for everything. even the pettiest things we need to thank God. everything we do is possible because of God and his love and grace. we should even just thank him for our existence. the list of things we need to thank him for is endless, but we need to thank God for everything. and we should want to thank God for his unreal awesomeness. i mean, he is our father and saviour and guardian and more. and the things he does for us is so undeserved. its obvious that we should thank him in everything. hahaha.

    30 DEGREES TOMORROW
    wow
im going to sweat like no other
    im scared to go outside
    save meeee
haha hope your week is going swell!!!

    John 1:1-18

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning" sooooooooooo. Something I noticed was that words in the bible, like God, Jesus, etc* are all capitalized, but I noticed that the word: Word, was capitalized, so I thought what it could mean. I thought about it and I remembered a phrase from Lakeview Terrace, "His word is law" and the daughter was referring to the father who would not budge for anything. Jesus was the Word, and his word is law. I really like this verse because it talks so much about the "Word" "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth" this is saying how the Word is real to us, lives in us, and is a part of us. haha thats mostly what stood out to me
